Clear rules for both sides of the table.

How accounts, briefs, menus, matching and deletion work across the SORTED corporate-catering workflow.

Account rules

Applications, workspace changes and deletion

What can be removed immediately, what is permanent and when a commercial record must be retained.
I chose the wrong workspace. Do I need another email address?

No. One verified SORTED login can continue in the correct workspace. Open Account to remove the unused corporate or partner application when it is eligible, or simply open the other workspace without removing anything.

What is the difference between removing an application and deleting my account?

Removing an application clears the selected workspace data but keeps your SORTED login active. Deleting your account removes the login as well as every eligible pre-transaction corporate and partner record linked to it.

When can a corporate application be permanently removed?

It can be removed while the company has no catering brief that has entered the Operations workflow. The company profile and any private brief drafts are deleted together. Once a brief has been submitted, the commercial record must be retained and Operations must close access instead.

When can a catering-partner application be permanently removed?

It can be removed before the partner has received an availability request. The partner profile, pre-transaction menus, review records, document records and private compliance files are removed through a tracked cleanup process. Once an availability request exists, Operations must preserve the referenced history.

Why can some accounts not be deleted immediately?

SORTED must preserve an accountable record once a brief, availability response or client option has entered the controlled commercial workflow. This prevents a party from silently removing information another party relied on. Operations can close access without presenting the account as active.

What confirmation is required before full account deletion?

You must enter the account email address, current password and DELETE. Your password is checked securely before removal starts. Application removal requires your current password and typing REMOVE. Deletion is permanent. Operations staff accounts are protected until their access has been transferred or removed by another administrator.

What happens if cleanup is interrupted?

If removal cannot start, application data and files stay unchanged. Once removal is accepted, the selected workspace records are removed and any remaining private files enter a tracked cleanup queue. You may see “cleanup pending”. Cleanup is retried automatically each day; refresh Account to check progress. For full account deletion, the login is removed after file cleanup finishes, and new workspace data cannot be created while deletion is pending. Contact Operations if the status remains pending.

Can I remove a workspace shared with other people?

Self-service removal is blocked when other members belong to the workspace or your account is needed by retained records elsewhere. Contact SORTED Operations to arrange the appropriate transfer or closure. Switching workspaces does not require deletion.

Corporate clients

From verified brief to selected option

The controls that keep corporate requirements, pricing and selection clear.
Why does SORTED verify corporate accounts?

Verification ensures that catering partners receive genuine business demand and that each brief has an accountable company and contact behind it. Verification does not commit the company to place an order.

Can I revise or cancel a catering brief?

Yes. A private draft can be edited freely. A submitted brief can move through a controlled revision or cancellation path, and live partner requests are withdrawn when changed requirements would make them stale.

Does selecting an option confirm the order?

No. Selection records the company's preferred option. SORTED Operations still completes a final booking check before the order is confirmed or payment is requested.

How are prices shown to corporate clients?

Published options use a client-facing snapshot with the VAT-inclusive per-person price, delivery fee, extras and total separated clearly. Later menu changes cannot silently alter the offer the client reviewed.

How are dietary requirements and allergies handled?

The brief records required portions and allergy details. Matching checks approved partner capability, while any package adaptation must be confirmed by the partner and explained in the client option before selection.

Catering partners

From application to genuine availability

How approval, documents, menus, matching and availability work in the pilot.
Does submitting a partner application guarantee approval?

No. SORTED reviews operating area, capacity, service formats, cuisine and dietary capability, delivery readiness and required compliance evidence for the controlled Sandton pilot.

Who can see uploaded compliance documents?

Files are stored privately and are available only to active members of that partner account and authorised SORTED Operations staff. They are not shown to corporate clients or other partners.

Can a verified menu be edited?

Yes, through a versioned revision. The currently verified package remains dependable for matching while the replacement is reviewed. Private drafts can be deleted; submitted packages can be withdrawn for editing; verified packages can be archived when no live request depends on them.

Does confirming availability create a booking?

No. It confirms genuine kitchen and delivery capacity for one specific brief. A booking exists only after the corporate client selects an option and SORTED completes final confirmation.

Why might a suitable menu not become a match?

Matching considers service area, meal period, service format, headcount, lead time, verified compliance, cuisine, budget and dietary capability. Operations can see whether an item is a hard blocker or simply needs partner confirmation.

How must partner pricing be entered?

Every package uses a per-person price and an explicit VAT basis: VAT inclusive, VAT exclusive or no VAT charged. This prevents unlike prices from being compared as if they were equivalent.
